Overview

I-CREWS integrates three key components in its research approach: local knowledge, governance dynamics, and advanced modeling techniques. The central hypothesis is that by characterizing communities at different scales, patterns of resilience to changes in energy-water systems can be determined. Resilience strategies will be more effectively evaluated and implemented by combining local knowledge, understanding of governance, and advanced data analysis and modeling.

Research Objectives

Characterize

Evaluate resilience strategies across different E-W system configurations

Model

Model current and future E-W systems to assess their resilience

Alternative Futures

Develop scenarios for potential future trajectories and resilience
